The 2-4-6 System

The 2-4-6 spare system, the "Swedish Spare System", is a more advanced bowler. The starting position remains stable, and the target is set according to the spare pin leave. As with the 3-6-9 spare system, there are two starting positions: the 10-pin and the strike position for right handers, and the 7-pin and the strike position for left handers.  Again, as with the 3-6-9 spare system, there are two targets utilized for the strike and corner pins.  When side-by-side pin leaves are considered, the missing key pin is visualized as the key pin.

The 2-4-6 targeting system guideline may need slight adjustments introduced by bowler technique and mathematical approximation.  Still, this sparing technique provides a valuable tool, and is worthy of your consideration in enhancing your ability to pick up your strikes.
